Management and Governance
This Board sets the school’s strategy and reviews all aspects of its management and resources. Meetings are held three times a year, with protocols aligned as closely as possible with the Higher Education Code of Governance. To fulfil its obligations, the Board is assisted by the Academic Board, Students Committee, and Finance Committee. Additionally, the Academic Board is supported by the Admission Subcommittee and Disciplinary Subcommittee. The Finance Committee, a sub-committee of the Board of Governance, oversees all aspects of the school’s financial management.
Departments within the school and their respective heads operate in accordance with the decisions made by each committee. The membership of these committees is clearly defined, with reporting lines and terms of reference provided for each. Committees convene frequently according to the academic year’s meeting schedule and are responsible for setting, communicating, and monitoring progress against the school’s corporate objectives. They also oversee the effectiveness of direction and control, identify and manage risks to the school’s objectives, and ensure the Board of Governance assures itself and stakeholders of business control and associated risks.
The Head of School and Senior Management Team ensure the school is managed and run by experienced and competent staff.
Our core principles of the Governance Structure include:
The school has a distinct organizational chart with clear job descriptions and person specifications for each staff member. Each programme has a Higher Education programme lead who is line managed by the Programme Leader.

Annually, we evaluate the performance of individual Board members and the Board itself using a predefined questionnaire template.
